The only tool you need is a screwdriver—we recommenda Phillips head or a power drill (if you have one). Before youget started, take a minute to read through the instructions.

1. Open your suitcase and lay the luggage flat.

2. Unzip the lining to expose the inner trolley. The trolley has four screws at the top and two screws at the base of the poles.
3. Unscrew the two screws at the base of the poles Ⓐ and four screws at the top Ⓑ and Ⓒ (the ones that are between the poles — not the screws that are attached at the top of the shell beneath the top handle). 
   
   a. Different screws are used in different areas of the suitcase. Sort your screws while you work to remember their location.
4. Unscrew the brake boxes attached to the back wheels. The brake boxes each have two screws Ⓓ. 
5. The trolley is attached to an inner reinforcement at the top and a brace at the bottom. Once the screws are removed, pull the metal trolley poles out of their plastic brace at the bottom of your suitcase and pull the trolley out by the exterior handle. Slide the brake boxes through the PC shell one by one.
6. The top of the brake system is attached to the trolley by two screws Ⓔ. Unscrew these two screws and reattach the brakes to the new trolley. 
7. Slide the brakes and new trolley into place, ensuring the poles go through the inner trolley reinforcement. Ensure the brake cables are underneath the trolley poles. 
8. Fit the base of the aluminum poles into the plastic brace at the base of your suitcase.
9. To reattach the trolley, ensure that all six screw holes align, taking care to use the correct screw type in the correct location, and screw until screws can twist no further.
10. Reattach the brake boxes to the wheels. Note that the Away logo should be outward facing on the brake box.
11. Zip the lining, and voilà!
    

That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

7. Slide the new trolley into place, ensuring the poles go through the inner trolley reinforcement. Ensure the brake cables are underneath the trolley poles. 

8. Fit the base of the aluminum poles into the plastic brace at the base of your suitcase.

9. To reattach the trolley, ensure that all six screw holes align, taking care to use the correct screw type in the correct location, and screw until screws can twist no further.

10. Next, remove the damaged wheel. Unscrew all wheel screws, and remove the damaged wheel from the exterior of the bag.

    
    a. If you have a Carry-On or Bigger Carry-On, there will be 5 screws and an inner wheel housing. 
    
    b. If you have a Medium or Large, there will be 5 screws and the inner wheel reinforcement will be integrated with the base of the trolley– the reinforcement should remain in place.

11. Slide the new wheel into place. 

12. Line up the screws with the wheel’s screw holes.

13. Insert screws into screw holes, and screw until they can twist no further.

14. Reattach the brake boxes to the wheels. Note that the Away logo should be outward facing on the brake box.

15. Zip the lining, and voilà! You’re good to get back on the road again.

3. Unscrew all wheel screws, and remove the damaged wheel from the exterior of the bag.

2. Unscrew all wheel screws, and remove the damaged wheel from the exterior of the bag. Different screws are used in different areas of the suitcase. Sort your screws while you work to remember their location.

   
   a. If you have a Carry-On or Bigger Carry-On, there will be 5 screws and an inner wheel housing. 
   
   b. If you have a Medium or Large, there will be 5 screws and an inner wheel reinforcement that extends across the bottom of the luggage– the reinforcement should remain in place.
3. Slide the new wheel into place. 
4. Line up the screws with the wheel’s screw holes.

5. Insert screws into screw holes, and screw until they can twist no further.

6. Zip the lining, and voilà!

1. Open your suitcase and lay it flat.
2. Move the compression pad out of the way and unzip the lining. Note: Zipper pulls may be reversed to ensure nothing snags on the lining. Check under the laundry bag for the zipper and use a pen to carefully wedge the lining open.
3. If you're replacing the top handle near the lock: Unscrew the four screws that attach the top handle. If you're replacing the side handle: Unscrew the screws attached to the compression pad straps to the left and right of your handle in order to lift the lining and then unscrew the four screws that attach the side handle.
4. Pull the damaged handle from the exterior of the suitcase.
5. Replace the new handle and back plate. Tip: The Away logo should be right-side-up when the suitcase is laid flat.
6. Replace the screws one by one until they're all screwed in tightly. If replacing the side handle, reattach the compression pad straps.
7. Zip up the lining.

That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

Before you get started, take a minute to read through the instructions.

1. If necessary, remove any broken pieces from the damaged D-ring and discard them. Locate the screw hole on the top handle, positioned opposite the Away logo.
2. Slide the new D-ring into place, aligning its screw holes with those on the handle.
3. Note: Position the side with the larger screw hole facing toward the front of the suitcase.
4. Insert the screw into the D-ring from the side with the larger hole.
5. Tighten the screw securely using the provided screwdriver.

That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.
